Taste Of Salt Ending

Hope helps the people of Haiti get a good governemnt and makes Father Aristid become a good ruler.
Jeremie's hopeful too. So she decides to stay by Djos side. After all, the university could wait a while. There's things she has to do here still. Every day she comes and visits Djo and tells him about what's happening in Haiti with the new government and what they're doing.
But hope doesn't help Djo very much. His wounds get worse and he falls into a coma. Nothing that the doctors do can help and he dies.
After that Jeremie decides there's nothing left for her to do in Haiti. She gets on a plane and flies to France to strat a new life.
