In a trance with trance

Trance is cool. It’s different from other music because it combines different styles. DJ Tiesto is the one DJ I listen to the most on my playlist.

DJ Tiesto is a Dutch trance DJ and record producer. He has become one of the world's most famous people in the trance and electronic dance music scenes. On Sunday he was in Cyprus where he held a live concert at Eleftheria stadium. He is the first DJ to play live on stage at the Olympic Games at the 2004 opening ceremony in Athens. In 2008 he received a Grammy Award. He also worked for charity and collaborated with Giorgio Armani who designed a t-shirt with his name on it which he sold for charity. In 2001 he broke a world record by drinking 31 cans of Red Bull in 24 hours but afterwards he said he would never do that again.

He was always interested in music as a kid and started working as a DJ at parties. Then he started working at clubs and became more and more popular until eventually he became the first DJ to play on his own in front of an audience.

Trance has been described as “classical melodies with jungle rhythms”. It is often played in night clubs and holiday resorts like Ibiza. It is supposed to be chill out music rather than energetic music.

Tiesto is one of the main producers and remixers of trance. Trance helped Tiesto become famous when he started making mixed compilations, something nobody else did at the time. His “Magik series” helped him shoot to fame.

A Summer To Remember

Mr. White had an itch. He tried not to think about it but it kept on coming back to the front of his mind. Eventually he could take it no more. He packed his bags and jumped on the first plane to Vegas. "I feel lucky!" He said to himself. "The stars are on my side, I can feel it". Before he knew it he was sitting at a table in a posh casino laying out his chips. "Place your bets" said the croupier. Mr. White put all his money on red and watched the roulette wheel spin. "It's red!" Mr. White pocketed all his money and went out on the town to celebrate. He had booked himself a limo, went to the best show in town, bought everybody a drink, and stayed in the presidential suite of the best hotel. The next day he decided to go back and get some more money. Unfortunately this time he lost everything. He had to go home with his tail between his legs, having lost all the money. Too embarrassed to go back to his home town, he took a job as far away from Texas as he possibly could. Which is why he ended up at the AISC, giving us this wonderful assignment.

Uniquely Me

I'm 13 and I'm from Cyprus. I live in Nicosia with my mom and my dad and my brother, who comes and goes from all over the world but is now unfortunately in the army. I also have a half brother who lives in England with his mom. I've been all over the world, following my brother who plays tennis. I've been to England, Switzerland, Italy, France, and America. I'm not that into music, but when it comes to it, I hate rock and metal. I love fashion and drawing and I recently discovered I have a talent for designing clothes

The Tell Tale Heart

Edgar Allen Poe is spooky. The first one was the best because he was the one that wrote it, and he's a master story teller, and he knows how to build up tension. It starts off with him telling you that he's not really mad, but by the end of it he shows you that he really is mad. The second one was the worst. If i hadn't seen the first one, i wouldnt have understood it at all. As for the last one, it made me laugh but it was a bit mad and frantic.
